- We would like to thank all those who contributed to making the first MHRNS symposium a success, and as a carryover event, we are pleased to annouce that Dr. Maria Vaccarella (Kings College London) will be giving her paper on 'Narrative Epileptology: Theory into Practice' on the 14th of May at 4pm in room 202, 4 University Gardens. All are welcome.
- The Preliminary Programme for the first MHRNS symposium is now available. The symposium will be held at the University of Glasgow on Saturday, 28th April 2012. The symposium addresses two of the network's themes: 'Why Historicise?' and 'Theory into Practice'. The Programme and the CFP are posted under the 'Symposium 1' section of the 'Activities' section of this website.
- We are very pleased to announce that Prof. Jane Macnaughton, Co-Director of the Centre for Medical Humanities (CMH) at Durham University, will be delivering the first MHRNS public lecture on 'Medical Humanities' Challenge to Medicine'. Doors open 6.30pm for 7pm start, 7 March 2012, Teviot Lecture Theatre, Medical School, Teviot Place, Edinburgh.
- Our second research workshop was held at the University of Edinburgh on the 8th of October 2011 with the theme ‘Theory into Practice’.
